15 Aug recycling message in a bottle!
Perhaps it’s a coincidence that ‘The Police’ are back touring again, but it’s worth mentioning that adverset have just finished print production of their version of a ‘message in a bottle’ – an extensive run of die-cut information cards on behalf of Scarborough Borough Council.
Die-cut in the shape of a ‘bottle’, the cards are designed to be an ‘attention-grabber’, containing information and instructions regarding the disposal and recycling of various household plastic containers.
The colour printing of 65,000 copies on a 350g recycled card with a silk coating to facilitate handling without marking by the public was finished off by die-cutting each bottle to shape.
One side of the ‘bottle’ card is blue, emphasising which items can be recycled and placed in the blue recycling bins which have now become a familiar introduction. The reverse of the card is red and lists items which cannot be recycled.
The ‘bottle’ card forms part of a set of literature promoting recycling in the Borough of Scarborough. Other items produced by adverset are 60,000 supporting covering letters, 60,000 leaflets and 17,000 flyers.
