06 Nov Qdos sponsor ‘Heroes Welcome’ Initiative
Qdos Entertainment plc were main sponsors of a major fundraising dinner event at Scarborough’s Spa Complex recently.
The evening, billed as ‘A Night before the Colours’, was conducted in full military fashion and involved three key organisations – The Royal British Legion, who are celebrating their 90 year anniversary, Heroes Welcome and the Yorkshire Regiment.
As main sponsors, Qdos Entertainment plc required a high profile presence on the night and as such adverset were commissioned to come up with a workable solution. Three areas were identified as suitable for attention grabbing displays – the cocktail reception and bar area, entrance to the main hall and front of stage.
A full set of complimentary branded displays was produced as follows:
- A 3×3 Pop-up Stand with Counter and lights, to be situated in the cocktail bar reception area, complemented by a leaflet display rack.
- Two 1.5m x 4.5m vertical banners to be hung from the frontal lighting gantry of the stage. Weights were built in to the foot of the banners to facilitate a straight hang and avoid movement.
- Two ‘Sprint’ roll-up banners, one to be situated at the hall entrance and one at the entrance to the cocktail reception.
All display elements were fitted on site on the morning of the event. The evening was a great success raising a substantial sum for the organisations involved.
Pictured in front of the pop-up display (top picture) are Damien and Lindsay Mason who were guests of the adverset and Qdos party on the night. Damien is a former paratrooper and was badly injured in Iraq in 2003. Whilst on operation, his helicopter came under attack and Damien consequently took a bullet in the head, forcing him to retire from the regiment. He is now enjoying life looking after his one-year old daughter, whilst Lindsay is a full-time creative designer at adverset.
