26 May Whitby Seafoods Scampi Shack – tasty!
adverset were recently asked to produce signage for the newly opened ‘Scampi Shack’ at the Open Air Theatre, Scarborough.
The 2m deep foamex panels were produced digitally using anti-fade inks and a weatherproof laminate at adverset before being also fitted on-site.
The ‘Shack’ is a converted ticket office situated next to the boating lake. Boasting a menu of tasty snacks of scampi, Tiger prawns and various accompaniments supplied by Whitby Seafoods the outlet is extremely popular with both locals and visitors.
The sister ticket office which is situated literally next door, has been converted into what is deemed ‘one of the smallest pubs in England’. Named ‘The Boatman’s Tavern’, the pub offers hand-pulled ales and cold drinks – a great partner to wash down the scampi!
The ‘Shacks’ were the brainchild of David Humphrey’s, proprietor of the North Bay Railway and Glasshouse Restaurant.
