11 Jan Hola Barcelona…

As a designer, it’s always interesting when travelling to see how other places embrace design, how it’s part of other people’s everyday life yet quite new and different to our eyes.

Barcelona was no exception, in fact it was a (pleasantly) surprisingly very design conscious city… (sure it may hang much of it’s identity on the work of Gaudi in the same way that Glasgow does with Rennie Mackintosh but souvenir key-rings aside these architects/artists help define the cities they worked in to this day). There were plenty of interesting bits of typography/signage both old and new to provide inspiration (and some rather odd holiday photos!) and serve as a testament to Barcelona that different styles can coexist harmoniously.
