09 Jun Hospice Ball – New York’s a go-go!
A stunning New York themed backdrop inside the Spa Grand Hall in Scarborough set the tone for a fun night at the 2013 Saint Catherine’s Hospice Ball on Saturday evening.
In addition to designing and printing the tickets, programme and posters for the annual fundraising event through sponsorship, adverset media solutions were asked to come up with some New York themed display elements to contribute to the décor.
Using the internal inset arches within the Grand Hall, giant scenes of the New York skyline were printed and mounted into the seven arches in order to simulate an atmosphere of dining and looking out onto ‘The Big Apple’ at night. The displays were then lit with coloured gels by P&L Sound & Lighting to complete the effect.
The displays were complemented by a giant size standee replica of the statue of liberty. Printed, mounted and laminated on correx display board material with a rear strut, the piece served as a silhouetted 3D backdrop on the stage.
adverset would like to thank all of their guests for their excellent company during the evening, including (pictured left) Maria Farrugia and Alistair Greenhough from Lunchbox Productions, (pictured centre) Jane Harper from Bluebird Vehicles and Steve Roper from Unison and (pictured right) William Duggleby & partner, from David Duggleby auctioneers.
