Following our involvement with Scarborough Bike & Boot Hotel a couple of years ago, we were invited for a walk-round in order to assess the newly opening venue in the Peak District. This is a brand new build and was therefore very exciting to work on, with the opportunity to use our close knowledge of the styling.
The brief…
The owners have developed a distinct interior style under the guidance and input of Rachel McLane, award winning interior designer. The B&B brand continues to gather momentum and has a strong/bold identity. All décor and signage therefore needed to follow this closely, which meant that we could meet the brief exactly.
‘Map & route’ Personalised Wallcoverings
We sourced several local area map images and incorporated the brand. 3 x separate wallcoverings were produced and installed, one encompassing a laminated door vinyl.
Directional signage
Following a full walk-round and assessment, we designed and produced a full range of directional signage which mirrored the style and material used for the Scarborough venue – black foamex material – hard, but light – all matt laminated.
Frosted Decals
With a high percentage of extensive floor to ceiling window glass, particularly in the restaurant, it was important to create something that was both decorative and safety-based, in order to satisfy building regulations at high and low levels.
General signage
A selection of exterior signage was artworked and produced on Di-bond material, with a matt laminate. Screw caps were deployed to conceal the fixings, for a neat finish.
